# They lost your details. You never agreed to that.

*Manchester Airport Group data breach*

Manchester Airport Group has written to customers confirming that an unauthorised third party accessed personal data from its car parking, lounge, Fast Track and on-airport WiFi systems.

If you were affected, you may be owed compensation under UK data protection law — including for the distress of knowing your details are in someone else's hands.

- No win, no fee
- Under 2 minutes
- FCA-regulated claims firm

Manchester Airport Claims is an independent claims service. We are **not** Manchester Airport, Manchester Airport Group, or connected to them in any way — we bring claims *against* them on behalf of affected customers.

## Check if you can claim

We need these details to identify you in Manchester Airport Group's records. We'll confirm your eligibility on the next screen.

The claim form runs over two steps and takes place on this website.

- **Step 1 of 2 — your details.** You give your full name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and your address (street, optional second line, town or city, and postcode). Use the email address MAG contacted you on, and your name as it appears on your booking.
- **Step 2 of 2 — confirm and sign.** You confirm that Manchester Airport Group emailed you about the breach, instruct us to pursue the claim on your behalf, and sign on screen with your finger.

We will never ask you for bank or payment details. By continuing you accept our [Terms & Conditions](https://manchesterairportclaims.co.uk/terms.html) and [Privacy Policy](https://manchesterairportclaims.co.uk/privacy.html).

## You handed over your details to park a car. Not to lose them.

Car parking, the lounge, Fast Track, the free WiFi — four ordinary things, one breach.

## What the attacker took

MAG's own notification names four categories of data. On their own they look harmless. Together they are enough to convincingly impersonate you.

### Email addresses

The address behind your bookings — and now a confirmed target for phishing.

### Phone numbers

Opens you to smishing texts and cold calls that already know who you are.

### Vehicle registrations

A plate tied to a named person is the raw material for registration cloning.

### Postcodes

Narrows you down to a street, and tells a caller when your car was away.

**No bank or payment details were involved.** MAG has confirmed that neither it nor the affected system held customers' bank or payment information. A claim under UK GDPR does not require you to have lost money.

## Were you affected?

If you used any of these at Manchester Airport, your details may sit in the data that was accessed. You do not need a booking reference to start.

### 01. Airport car parking

Any pre-booked or on-the-day parking, including drop-off and Meet & Greet.

### 02. Lounge bookings

Escape and other airport lounges booked through Manchester Airport.

### 03. Fast Track security

Any Fast Track pass bought for yourself or for someone travelling with you.

### 04. On-airport WiFi sign-up

The easiest one to forget — connecting to the free WiFi handed over your details.

## Why you may have a claim

### The law is on your side

Under Article 82 of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, an organisation that fails to keep your data secure can be liable to compensate you. Distress counts — you do not have to prove financial loss.

### The risk doesn't expire

MAG's own letter urges customers to be cautious of unexpected emails, calls and texts. That warning is permanent: the data cannot be recalled, and neither can the anxiety of watching for it.

### It costs you nothing to try

We act on a no win, no fee basis. If the claim succeeds, a success fee is deducted from your compensation, which we set out in full before you commit to anything. If it fails, you pay nothing.

## Three steps, then it's out of your hands

No paperwork, no booking references, no phone calls you have to make. Sign with your finger and we take it from there.

### 1. Give us your details

Name, phone and email. That is the whole of step one — no booking references, no paperwork to dig out.

### 2. Confirm and sign

Tick to confirm MAG contacted you, instruct us to pursue the claim, and sign on screen with your finger.

### 3. We take over

We review your claim, confirm we are acting for you and put it to Manchester Airport Group. You do nothing else unless we ask.

### Can I claim compensation for the Manchester Airport data breach?

Yes, if your data was among the records Manchester Airport Group has confirmed were accessed. Under Article 82 of the UK GDPR you can claim for the distress of losing control of your details, and you do not have to prove you lost money. Whether your own claim is viable is something we assess once we have reviewed it.

### What data was taken in the Manchester Airport Group breach?

MAG's notification names four categories: email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes, taken from its car parking, lounge, Fast Track and on-airport WiFi systems. MAG has confirmed that no bank or payment details were involved.

### How do I know if I was affected by the Manchester Airport data breach?

Manchester Airport Group emailed the customers whose data was accessed, so start with the inbox you use for bookings. If you used its car parking, a lounge, Fast Track or the on-airport WiFi you may be in scope even if you cannot find that email — you do not need it to check, because we can ask MAG to confirm.

### What if I've deleted the email from Manchester Airport?

It isn't a problem. The email is helpful evidence but it isn't required — we can ask MAG to confirm whether your data was in scope.

### How much compensation could I get for the Manchester Airport data breach?

We do not publish a figure, because an honest one cannot be given in advance. What a claim is worth turns on the data involved and the effect it has had on you, and we assess that individually once we have reviewed your case. Treat anyone quoting you a guaranteed amount with caution.

### Does it cost anything to check or to claim?

Nothing to check. We act on a no win, no fee basis: if your claim succeeds, a success fee is deducted from your compensation, which we set out in full before you commit to anything, and if it does not succeed you pay nothing.

### How long does a data breach claim take?

We will give you a realistic timescale once we have reviewed your case — no one can promise a date at this stage.

### Is Manchester Airport Claims part of Manchester Airport?

No. We are an independent claims service with no connection to Manchester Airport or Manchester Airport Group, and we act for customers making claims against them. If you want to contact the airport itself, use the details in the email they sent you — not this site.

### Who actually handles my claim?

Manchester Airport Claims — a trading style of Match Me Legal Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for claims management — handles your claim from start to finish. We do not pass it to any other firm, and you can withdraw your instruction at any time.

## Start your claim in under two minutes
